About Suzan

I have been a massage therapist for the past 14 years and worked in the realms of day spas, physical therapy offices, chiropractic offices and massage franchises. My approach to Massage Therapy is one of Holistic Healing, which is the mutual understanding and flexibility to change the mind, body and spirit and feel connected.

Here is my story.
I grew up in Monterey California surrounded by the beauty of the mountains and vastness of the ocean. Initially, I was interested in pursuing a career in nursing. I was striving to find a job in the service industry where I could serve others and make long lasting connections.
Anatomy and physiology were the favorite parts of my studies. After completing my AS in Massage Therapy, I was accepted to nursing school.

I finished my first year of my nursing education program and found myself with a need for a deeper human connection and that steered me in the direction of bodywork as a career. I chose to leave nursing because I wanted to treat the “whole” person rather than just the symptom(s). Healing was the aspiration, nursing was more of a goal.

What is my purpose in life? The more I thought about it I realized Massage therapy & bodywork was the answer I was searching for.
This also pushed me to study other modalities that work on healing the "energetic self'' such as Craniosacral Therapy.

My massage style is holistic in that it combines the harmony of the mind, body and spirit where intuitive listening allows my clients to feel 100% heard. This intuition in my healing approach has a longer lasting effect on the body allowing for a shift in the energetic being.

Becoming "heard" and more self-aware allows the client to be an show participant in the healing journey.
